Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupblack gram (wash and soak it overnight)
  2. 2 tbspoil
  3. 1/4 tspmustard seeds
  4. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  5. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  6. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspCoriander powder
  8. 1/2 tspsabji masala
  9. 1 tbspgram flour
  10. 1/2 tspsugar
  11. To tasteSalt
  12. 250 mlwater
  13. As neededChopped fresh coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    In the morning take a pressure cooker add Soaked gram in put salt and water around 1 glass. Close the lid. Pressure cook it for 3 whistle.

    Drain all water from gram. Put pan/ kadhai on medium flame add oil, mustard seeds when it crackled add asafoetida, Turmeric Powder.

    Now add boiled gram mix it well and saute it for a min. Now add red chilli powder

    Add sabji masala, coriander powder, salt

    With sugar. Mix it and let all masala get cooked for 1 min. Now add gram flour.

    Mix it an let gram flour roast with all boiled gram and masalas for 2 min. Now add half cup water. Mix it well and let gram flour cook. It become thicker now add another half cup water. And let cook for another min.

    Superb yummy black gram sabji is ready to serve. Sprinkle some chopped coriander and serve with roti, Parathas, or rice. I packed my hubby's tiffin.
