Ingredients

Serves 4-5 servings
  1. 1 cupblack chickpeas (about 200 grams)
  2. 2potatoes
  3. 2tomatoes
  4. 2green chilies
  5. 1 tablespoonsendha namak (rock salt)
  6. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric
  7. 1 tablespoonred chili powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  9. 1/2 cupchopped cilantro
  10. 3-4 tablespoonsoil or ghee
  11. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds

    Soak the black chickpeas overnight. In the morning, cook them in a pressure cooker until you hear 3-4 whistles.

    Heat oil or ghee in a skillet and add cumin seeds.

    Add finely chopped potatoes and fry them.

    Finely chop the tomatoes and green chilies, add them to the skillet, and cook everything for 2 minutes.

    Add all the dry spices and mix well.

    Add the boiled chickpeas, cover, and let everything cook together.
