  1. 1medium bowl boiled chickpeas
  2. 2boiled medium-sized potatoes
  3. 2onions, finely chopped
  4. 2tomatoes, finely chopped
  5. 3 tablespoonsoil
  6. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  7. 2cloves
  8. 2black peppercorns
  9. 1bay leaf
  10. Pinchasafoetida
  11. 1 teaspoonginger-garlic-green chili paste
  12. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  13. 1 1/2 teaspoonscoriander powder
  14. 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
  15. 1/2 teaspoonmeat masala powder
  16. 1/2 teaspooncumin powder
  17. Salt to taste

  19. 2 tablespoonschopped cilantro

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Add cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, bay leaf, and asafoetida, and heat well.

    Add chopped onions, tomatoes, and salt, stir well, and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

    Once the onions and tomatoes are soft, add the ginger-garlic-green chili paste and all the spices, mix well, and roast the spices with a little water on medium heat until the oil separates.
