Tuna and broccoli pasta bake

Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 120 gwhite onion
  2. 1x 400g can of chopped tomatoes
  3. 1 tbsptomato puree
  4. 1x 160g can of tuna
  5. 300 gpasta
  6. 1broccoli
  7. 100 gcheddar cheese
  8. 1 tbspolive oil
  9. 2 tsporegano
  10. 1 tspcilli flakes
  11. Salt and Pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Dice onion and heat in a pan on a low heat with oil, oregano and chilli flakes

  2. 2

    Once the onion has softened add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree and season with salt and pepper (leave to simmer for 10 minutes)

    Place the pasta in a pan of boiling water for 8 minutes then drain

  4. 4

    Drain the tuna and add to the frying pan

  5. 5

    Chop broccoli stems and cook in boiling water for 5 minutes, before draining (I saved the broccoli head for cooking later and serving on the side)

    Add the pasta and broccoli stems to the pasta sauce and mix well

  7. 7

    Transfer to a oven proof dish

  8. 8

    Top with grated cheese and pepper

  9. 9

    Place in 200°C preheated oven for 20minutes or until cheese has melted and is golden browm
