Ingredients

For 5 servings
  1. 750 gminced beef
  2. 2thyme springs
  3. 1onion
  4. 1 clovegarlic
  5. 2celery sticks
  6. 2carrots
  7. 1 1/2 tbspflour
  8. 1 tbsptomato puree
  9. 2 tbspWorcester sauce
  10. 1-2bay leaves
  11. 350-450 mlbroth
  12. 1/2 glassred wine (optional)
  13. 1 handfulfrozen peas
  14. Salt, pepper, paprika, chilli, garlic
  15. For the mash
  16. 900 gpotatoes
  17. 4carrots
  18. 1 splashmilk
  19. 1 handfulcheddar
  20. Butter
  21. Salt, pepper, nutmeg

Cooking Instructions

    Brown the mince. Cut all the vegetables in little dices and add to the meat. Fry on a medium heat for 20min. Then add the seasonings and fry a bit longer.

    Add the tomato puree and fry for a minute over a high heat. Then sprinkle in the flour and mix well. If you use the wine pour in now, and let it reduce a bit. Then add the broth, bay leave and thyme and simmer uncovered for 45min. Add the frozen peas when it done.

    Boil the potatoes and carrots and make a nice creamy mash. Add the cheese to the mash as well. Add the mince in an ovenproof dish. Add the mash on top.

    Make a pattern in the mash with a fork. Put it in the oven 220 degrees until golden. Enjoy <3
