Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2 cupsflour
  2. 1 teaspoonSugar
  3. 3 tablespoonbutter
  4. 1Maggi cube
  5. PinchSalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonyeast
  7. 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  8. Water and 1 egg
  9. For the fillings
  10. Sardine
  11. Scotch bonnet
  12. Onion
  13. Maggi
  14. Salt
  15. Tomato paste
  16. Curry
  17. Onga

Cooking Instructions

    Chop onion, in a pan, add oil pour the onion and start frying until the onion are soft. Add in the mashed fish, scotch bonnet and mix. Stir fry for 2mins add in the seasoning. Turn off heat and let it cool. In a bowl add flour and butter, mix very well till the butter is well combined with flour. Add in sugar, salt, Maggi, baking powder, yeast. Beat one egg and pour inside the flour mix. Pour water gradually, gradually until you form a soft dough.

    Cut the dough into pieces

    Roll it out as thin as possible, press the edges down to stick together. Roll out with both hands. Cut off the edges to prevent the fillings from coming out.

    Deep fry on low heat, then high until goldness is achieved
