Ingredients

  1. 1.5 cupbesan
  2. 3-4 tablespoons Sugar
  3. 1 tsp.Salt
  4. 1 small tsp.citric acid
  5. 1 tbsp.Ginger chilli paste
  6. 1 tbsp.Oil
  7. 1/2 tspsoda
  8. 1 tsp.Asofoetida
  9. ForTadka
  10. 2 tbsp.Oil
  11. Pinchasofoetida
  12. 1/2 tsp.Mustard seeds
  13. Few curry leaves
  14. 1green chilli
  15. as requiredCoriander for garnishing
  16. As requiredgreen chilli to serve

Cooking Instructions

    Sieve besan. In a mixing bowl take 1cup of water and sugar and salt mix properly. Till water looks clear. Now add besan slowly and mix properly make sure no lumps found in the mixture. Now add asafoetida ginger chilli paste oil. Now dilute soda in 1/4cup of water. (Not fruit salt) and pour in a mixture. And beat properly with a hand or manual beater.

    Boil 2 glasses of water in a steamer. Grease container. with oil and put in a steamer.and pour the mixture. Steam for 15-20 min. on the mid flame. Open and check after 15min.with a toothpick or pointed knife. Turn off flame. Leave in a steamer for 5min.

    Now after 5min. Take out from steamer remove from edges and let it cool for 10min.and transfer in a thali. And cut in to pieces.

    For tadka :- Heat 2tbsp. Oil add mustard seeds chopped chilli curry leaves asafoetida 1cup water salt. bring one boil and pour on khaman garnish with coriander. Tasty delicious Authentic Khaman is ready to Serve with Chillies.
