Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 bowlbasmati rice
  2. 1 1/2 bowl water
  3. 2 tbsp cooking oil
  4. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1 inch " piece ginger
  6. 1onion
  7. 2tomatoes
  8. 1 bowlfresh peas
  9. 2potatoes
  10. 2carrots
  11. 2Green chilli
  12. 6-8black pepper seeds
  13. 4cloves
  14. 2Green cardamom
  15. 1 stickcinnamom
  16. 1Bay leaves
  17. 4-6cashew nuts
  18. 6almonds
  19. 1 tbsp biryani masala

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and wash all vegetables. Wash, rinse and Soak rice for 30 minutes.

    Grate tomatoes and make a puree. Grate ginger. Chop all vegetables in small pieces. Collect all the ingredients.

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grated ginger and saute for 2 minutes. Add finely chopped onions and saute till onion gets translucent.

    When onion turn translucent add all the chopped vegetables and saute for 2 minutes.

    Then cover the lid and cook for 5-7 minutes. When vegetables are half cooked, add all the almonds and cashew nuts and saute for 1 minute. Add red chilli powder, salt, biryani masala and mix. Add rice and stir well.

    Add water, stir and place the lid and cook for 2 whistles. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.

    Serve hot garnished with pure ghee.
