Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsshrimps, cleaned
  2. 2medium tomatoes, chopped
  3. 2 Tbsptomato puree
  4. 1medium potato chopped and fried
  5. 1onion chopped finely
  6. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  7. as per tasteSalt
  8. 1 Tbspcoriander powder
  9. 2 tspcumin powder
  10. 1 tspKashmiri red chili powder
  11. 1/3 cupmustard oil
  12. Formasala paste
  13. 1medium onion, chopped
  14. 1 and 1/2 tsp garlic minced
  15. 1 tspginger, grated

Cooking Instructions

    Marinate the cleaned shrimps with salt, turmeric and chili powder. Fry them in batches with mustard oil.

    To make gravy, heat rest of the oil. Add chopped onion and green chili, saute till golden brown. Add and cook the masala paste. Cook for a while.

    Mix the dry masala:- coriander and cumin powder, Kashmiri red chili powder. Cook on low heat for a minute.

    Add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree and saute till the masala leaves oil.

    Pour 1 and 1/2 cup water and bring to boil. Add the fried shrimps and potatoes.

    Cover and cook for two minutes. Shrimps in red gravy dish is ready to serve with steamed rice.
