Ingredients

  1. Chilli oil sauce
  2. 6-8 clovesgarlic, thinly chopped or minced
  3. 2-3 tbspchilli flakes
  4. 1 cupvegetable cooking oil
  5. Pinchsea salt
  6. Dan Dan noodles sauce
  7. 1-2 tbspsesame oil
  8. 2-3 tbspsoysauce
  9. 1 tbspdark soysauce
  10. 2 tbsphoney
  11. 2-3 tbsprice vinegar
  12. 2 tbsphoisin sauce (optional)
  13. 4 tbspsmooth peanut butter
  14. 2-3nest of your preferred noodles
  15. 150 gground chicken or pork or plantbased for vegan version
  16. 4spring onions, finely chopped

Cooking Instructions

    To make the chili oil. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the vegetable oil, the garlic, sea salt and chili flakes. Stirring occasionally for about 5-6 mins. Remove and carefully transfer the chilli oil to a heat proof bowl or glass mason jar.

    Making sauce, combine the dark and light soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, vinegar, peanut butter, sesame oil and about 4-5 tbsp of water in a bowl. Mix well and leave it aside.

    Cook your preferred egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. To the pot used to cook the noodles, cook your minced chicken or pork. Break them up while cooking, once cooked, drain off water and keep the meat aside.

    Resemble: add noodles in a serving bowl, add minced chicken or pork, add chilli oil and sauce that you make on no.2. Sprinkle some spring onions. Mix well before eat. Enjoy!!
