Ingredients

20 minutes

  1. Lobiya Curry
  2. 21/2 bowlwater
  3. 2 tbspghee
  4. 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1onion
  6. 2tomatoes
  7. 1 inchpiece ginger
  8. 1Green chilli
  9. 4-6 podsgarlic
  10. to taste Salt
  11. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  12. 1/4turmeric powder
  13. 1/4 tspcoriander seeds powder
  14. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  15. 2 tbspoon chopped coriander leaves
  16. Jeera Rice
  17. 1 bowlbasmati rice
  18. 1 1/2 bowlwater
  19. 1 tspCooking Oil
  20. 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  21. to taste Salt
  22. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  23. Other :
  24. as required Salad for serving - radish and carrot

Cooking Instructions

    Wash lobiya and transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add water and salt and place the lid. Cook for 2 minutes after first whistle. Let pressure releases automatically.

    Wash peel and chop onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli. Transfer it in a mixer. Chop tomatoes and add in mixer. Grind it to a smooth paste.

    Heat ghee in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grinded paste and saute till oil leaves the karahi.

    Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander seeds powder

    Mix well and cook for 2 minutes on low flame till oil leaves the sides of wok.

    Open the pressure cooker and transfer this masala in pressure cooker. Place the lid and pressure cook for 3 minutes after first whistle. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically.

    Open the lid. Transfer it in a serving bowl. Add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.

    Jeera Rice : Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.

    Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add rice, salt and red chilli powder.

    Add water and place the lid and cook till first whistle. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid.

    Serve jeera rice with lobiya Curry and salad.
