Pork & Cabbage Spaghetti with Sweet Miso Sauce

My lates craze is Sweet Miso Sauce. I have been cooking many things in the sweet Miso flavour. Fish, Chicken, Pork, Tofu, Vegetables, Mushrooms, and so many things go very well with this flavour. And Sweet Miso Sauce is easy to make. You only need Miso, Sugar and a little bit of Soy Sauce depending on the saltiness of the Miso you use. The mixture can be too thick to use, so you need to add some Mirin, Sake (Rice Wine) OR Water. Depending on the ingredients, you can add grated Ginger, Garlic, Chilli, OR etc.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook Spaghetti in salted water according to the instruction.
- 2
Combine all the Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- 3
Prepare ingredients. Chop up a green part of Spring Onion finely and that is for topping, and cut the rest into bite-size pieces.
- 4
When Spaghetti is nearly cooked, heat Oil in a frying pan, cook Vegetables and Pork. When cooked, adds the Sauce and stir to combine.
- 5
Drain Spaghetti and add to the pan, and stir to combine.
- 6
Sprinkle with the finely chopped Spring Onion and some Shichimi (Japanese Chilli Spice Mix), and enjoy.

Tianmianjiang-style Sweet Miso Sauce Tianmianjiang-style Sweet Miso Sauce
This was a recipe taught to me at the place I worked more than 10 years ago. This recipe works better if you use miso without dashi added. You have to constantly stir the sauce, so I think it is a good idea to make it when you have some spare time. The miso will splatter of the pot and stain your clothes, so I suggest wearing an apron!. Add more sesame oil if you prefer. Recipe by kenken mama cookpad.japan -

Authentic Pork Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce Authentic Pork Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce
My husband is from Hokkaido. When his parents came for a visit, we wanted to serve them pork donburi rice bowls, but we were out of our favorite Tokachi pork donburi rice bowl sauce! So, we made it from ingredients we had on hand. The sweet and salty sauce turned out delicious and we were totally satisfied. There are many restaurants that use thick pork loin, so it's okay to use that instead. I prefer the juiciness of thinly sliced pork belly. When adding the pork to the sauce, stir lightly while it simmers to keep the pork tender; if the heat is too strong, the pork will become tough. Add as much onion as you like. Recipe by Hachan mama cookpad.japan -
Sweet and Sour Pork Style Meatballs with Thick Sweet-Vinegar Sauce Sweet and Sour Pork Style Meatballs with Thick Sweet-Vinegar Sauce
I don't like sweet and sour pork made with deep fried pork, so at some point I started using easy to make meatballs instead. I've also settled on this light soy sauce flavored sauce rather than the usual ketchup flavored one.*Adjust the amount of meatballs you add to taste.*By mixing the katakuriko with the flavoring ingredients beforehand, you can prevent lumps from forming in the sauce. Telur Ceplok Masak Kecap (Sunny Side Up Eggs with Sweet Soy Sauce) Telur Ceplok Masak Kecap (Sunny Side Up Eggs with Sweet Soy Sauce)
Sweet soya sauce is one of the essential ingredients in Indonesian cuisine. It’s made of soy beans and it has dark color just like soy sauce, but it’s sweet and thicker due to the generous addition of palm sugar. A lot of indonesian’s recipes use this sweetened aromatic soy sauce. 😋 Please follow my Instagram @jenscookingdiary if you like my recipes 🙏🏻 jenscookingdiary -
Oven-Baked Salmon with Sweet Chili Mayo Sauce Oven-Baked Salmon with Sweet Chili Mayo Sauce
I'm thankful for this dish on busy days since I can just leave it alone in the oven and the side dish cooks with it You don't even need to buy sweet chili sauce, you can make your own..These taste best when topped with heaps of sauce. If you're using the toaster-oven and the salmon seems to be browning before its completely cooked, cover with aluminum foil. It depends on the thickness of the filets, but they should bake for 10-12 minutes. Recipe by Heartful Kitchen Rei cookpad.japan -
Easy On a Grill! Gohei Mochi (Grilled Rice Cake with Sweet Miso Sauce) Easy On a Grill! Gohei Mochi (Grilled Rice Cake with Sweet Miso Sauce)
I wanted to make an easy Gohei Mochi recipe to cook at home. This recipe requires only a stick, plastic wrap, and a grill! Sweet sticky rice is already sticky, so you don't need to mash it. That makes this dish easier. The miso mixture burns easily, so adjust the heat and grilling time accordingly. You can also use walnuts instead of sesame seeds. The cooking methods and shape of the rice cakes might differ in different areas. I created this recipe so that people can make this dish at home. Recipe by handmadecafe cookpad.japan -

Salmon Simmered in Sweet Miso Sauce from Hokkaido Salmon Simmered in Sweet Miso Sauce from Hokkaido
This dish really represents Hokkaido! Every Hokkaido native has grown up with this dish. It's warming and filling regional favorite. You can make this in a pan or in an electrical griddle. Just use the same procedure and reduce the amount if needed, you don't have a lot of washing up afterwards, and it's so easy. For the version in the photos, I used a small tabletop pot.If you use an electric griddle, more moisture will evaporate so it will be like a stir-fry. For 4 to 5 servings with a generous amount of miso sauce. Recipe by Mirunesan cookpad.japan
