Ingredients

50 minutes
4-6 servings
  1. 1 cupself-rising flour
  2. 1 1/4 cupsugar + 2 tablespoons for later
  3. 1 cupmilk
  4. 1 stickbutter, melted
  5. 2 1/2 cupsfresh blackberries

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°

  2. 2

    Add 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of flour in a large mixing bowl.

    Stir in the milk, then the melted butter. Mix well

  4. 4

    Pour onto the bottom of a greased 9 x 9 inch baking dish.

    Place the berries on top.

    Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over the top, reserving 2 tablespoons for later.

    Bake for 50 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle remaining tablespoons of sugar on top.

    Bake for 10 more minutes or until golden brown.

  9. 9

    Serve immediately or warm with vanilla ice cream
