Ingredients

15 - 20 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 4 tbspArhar Dal
  2. 3medium Radish
  3. 1/2 tspNigella seeds
  4. 3green chilli
  5. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  6. 1 tbspMustard Oil
  7. 1dry red chilli
  8. Water as required
  9. 2 bunchCoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

15 - 20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak Daal overnight, slice medium size radish.

  2. 2

    Pressure cook Dal with sufficient water and give 5-6 whistle but don’t overcook.
    Boil radish slices by adding slight salt and boil till they turn soft and keep aside.

    In moderately heated pan, add oil, add onion seeds + dry red chilli and allow to crackle, then add boiled Daal along with water, add green chilli + turmeric powder + salt as required and give a good mix. Give 4-5 times nice rolling boil.

    Add boiled radish slices + chopped coriander and cook for 4-5 minutes and Daal is ready.
    Serve with rice.
