Cooking Instructions
- 1
To make good Thalipeeth firstly soak sabudana for overnight.
Mash boiled potatoes with fingers only so that there should be small chunks. It tastes nice. - 2
Next day take sabudana in a large mixing bowl. Add mashed boiled potatoes, crushed peanuts, Green chili paste, chopped coriander, salt. Combine & mix well to form a dough. Make large balls of the dough. I prepared 4 balls from the dough.
- 3
On a rolling board spread butter paper or a wet cloth. On butter paper apply ghee. Place a dough ball & pat gently & make a thick roti. Thalipeeth is thick than roti.
Make 3-4 holes at the centre of thalipeeth. - 4
Heat tawa. Apply ghee on tawa. Place carefully butter paper with thalipeeth side touches to hot tawa. Pour little ghee into the holes. Cover thalipeeth with lid. Cook on high to medium flame.
- 5
After 5 min, take off lid. Let the steam go off. Wait for 5 minutes. Once the top side is cooked, flip thalipeeth & cook it's other side. Apply ghee at its sides. Roast until brown spot appears.
- 6
Make more thalipeeth in the same way. For next thalipeeth grease butter paper with ghee & follow the same process. I have prepared 4 thalipeeth. One finished immediately. 😊
- 7
Serve falahari thalipeeth with curd or green farali chutney or butter. It's filling snack & you can pack for tiffin also.
