Ingredients

7-8 servings
  1. 360 gmor 3 cups All Purpose flour or Maida
  2. 226 gmor 2 sticks softened Butter
  3. 75 gmor 3/4 cup powdered Sugar
  4. 1/4 tspArabian Sea Salt
  5. 2Egg Yolks
  6. 1 tspVanilla essence
  7. as neededMixed Fruit Jam

Cooking Instructions

25-30 minutes

    Sift the flour once or twice at first. Before proceeding with the preparations, preheating the oven is important. Preheat your oven on 180° and set the timer for a good 40 minutes.

    Now using an electric beater or a hand held one, start with butter, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla essence. Beat until soft and supple. In this fold in the flour and add the salt as well

    On a parchment paper lined baking tray, scoop out roundels of the prepared dough using an ice-cream scoop. Make a dent in the centre with your thumb. Place a little of any flavoured jam of your choice in each cookie.

    Bake for about 22 to 25 minutes. That's it. Allow them to cool down before serving. Enjoy!
