  1. 2 packagesbeef smoked sausage
  2. 1 headcabbage
  3. 2 bunchgreen onion
  4. 1 lbcarrots
  5. 5 mediumpotatoes
  6. 1/2 cupbutter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    melt butter in a dutch oven or soup pot.

  2. 2

    Chop green onion (no bulb) and sautè in butter.Chop cabbage in 1-2" pieces add to pot.

    Follow with cut sliced carrots and potatoes. Simmer until carrots and potatoes are tender.30-45 minutes.

    Add sliced smoked sausage and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    this can be halved. but it is excellent the next day . makes enough for 8-10 servings.
