My mother taught me how to cook. She was a southern down to heart, TN, GA, AL cook. My father, was in the Navy, so my mother also learned other cooking methods. He was based, in New Orleans for a lil while, when my lil sister was born. So she was taught creole but with her own southern twist... I really hope you like it.

This is a good AP creole seasoning to give your dishes Creole flare. Use it as a rub on meats before sautéing or grilling. Sprinkle it over vegetables, soups, or pasta. The possibilities are endless.

I love Cajun seasoning, but I prefer to make my own, using spices and herbs I already have on hand and reducing the salt. This one is very mild in heat, because my kids and husband aren't fans of spice, but to make it spicier just increase the amount of cayenne pepper.

I love Cajun food!I crave Cajun food, but the Japanese grocery store does not seem to carry premade Cajun spices.I looked up the ingredients of a store bought Cajun spice and found out that I can buy most of the ingredients at a Japanese grocery store, so I blend Cajun spice mix myself. I'm back!!! I love southern country food.. Many people think CAJUN means hot.... it doesn't .... cajun is a blend of spices every family has a blend that is past through oral directions.... :-)

Great cajun seasoning for your favourite meals

I made this dry spice mix a few times to make a fragrant seafood sauce, then tried it when frying croutons in olive oil, and to spice up a piece of fish fillet by blackening it. I do not put salt in this mix, the flavors are fragrant and exotic. This recipe is for two teaspoons, I made more to keep handy now that I like it.

A great seasoning for green beans. My family just loves it.
