Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 375° F

Bring 4 quarts of water, 1 tablespoon of salt & 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to boil & add elbow macaroni. Boil 9-11 minutes or until al dente.

Drain macaroni & rinse with cold water. Drain water from tuna. In same pot combine macaroni, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, remaining salt & pepper.

Lightly spray 7x11 baking dish with cooking spray. Pour tuna mixture into dish. Cover with aluminum foil.

Bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil & continue to bake for 20 minutes or until top is slightly crispy.

Remove from oven & let stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Except the type of chips this is like the original we grew up on when I was a wee boy. We used the original yellow family size bag of Lays potato chips. It actually was a massive bag, with 2 inner bags. My older brother would actually ask for this for his birthday dinners. Lots of memories in this dish. My mom never cooked with cayenne pepper. We always added it at the table. Most of the time we would have a couple of slices of bread to make it into fold over sandwiches. It's a classic. skunkmonkey101 -

Hubby and I did not like it. Had to add lemon to counteract the pepper, which helped, but it still tasted bad.
