This is a slightly adapted version of the American home-cooked dish, tuna casserole.

Cook the macaroni and drain it in a colander. Finely chop the onion and bell pepper. Drain the canned tuna.

In a large pot, melt the butter. Once melted, add the onion and bell pepper and sauté over low to medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

Once softened, reduce to low heat and add the flour, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth.

Add the milk and cream of mushroom soup. Once thickened, add the macaroni, tuna, corn, and half of the cheese, stirring to combine.

Pour the mixture into a 9-inch square baking dish, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30-40 minutes.
