Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 1lb. extra lean ground beef
  2. 1/4 cupfinely chopped onion
  3. 8 ozcan tomato sauce
  4. 1/4 cupketchup
  5. 1 pinchsalt, black pepper, paprika, parsley, garlic to taste
  6. 1 cupshredded mozzarella
  7. 1 cupshredded cheddar
  8. 1canister biscuits - 16 oz. - such as "pillsbury grands"

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 400°

  2. 2

    In skillet, cook beef & onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain.

    Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup & spices

  4. 4

    Spoon beef mixture evenly into a greased 9x9 baking dish.

    Sprinkle both cheeses over beef mixture.

  6. 6

    Place biscuits evenly spaced around edges of dish & place one biscuit in center.

    Bake uncovered at 15 - 20 minutes or until biscuits or golden brown and beef mixture is bubbly.

    Let sit for about 10 mins before cutting and serving. Enjoy!

This is a great recipe. .I added garlic powder,onion powder, parsley, pepper and pickles to what I made..
Some advice to those that r having trouble getting the biscuits to cook all the way thru: use a larger baking dish and spread the meat mixture into a thinner layer in the dish so that the heat will go thru the meat mixture and cook the biscuits on the bottom :positive
