trim excess fat from chicken

rinse under cold water... pat dry

drink 1/2 of beer then cut off top with can opener

rub butter all over chicken inside and out

sprinkle seasonings all over chicken... hard to over due

cut onion in 2 wedges... place one in beer

rest bird over buttered beer can

plug neck cavity with onion.... can use what ever you have...I have used celery, carrot, oranges, lemon and so on

cook in preheated oven 375°F for 1 hour15 min to 1 hour 30 min

let stand five min before carving
