Banana Bread

Add in chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or nuts! Top with salted caramel! Mix in Butterfinger or Heath Toffee bits!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F. Butter pan or line muffin pan with liners if you're going to use them.
- 2
Put first 7 ingredients in blender.
- 3
Blend until smooth.
- 4
Put flour in bowl. (If you are adding nuts or chips put them in the flour now and mix them around. The flour will coat them and keep them from sinking to the bottom of the pan.)
- 5
Mix blended ingredients into flour.
- 6
Mix until smooth.
- 7
Pour in to buttered pan.(or buttered muffin pan or muffin pan lined with cupcake liners.)
- 8
Bake for 1 hour (start checking for doneness by inserting a toothpick into center after 50 minutes.) *If you're making muffins they won't take as long to bake so start checking after 20 min.*
- 9
Remove from oven on to cooling rack for 5 minutes.
- 10
Remove pan and cool on rack for 1 hour. (Hardest part!)
- 11
Caramel can be added after the bread has been removed from pan.

I usually double this recipe, making 1 loaf and 1 batch of muffins. The recipe is very versatile. You can add more banana if you'd like to increase the banana flavor. I have also made it with add-ins (choc. chips, dried cranberries, chopped walnuts). Stir in after flour. cmckay75 -

Try this recipe if you have a pair of left over bananas - those which are overly ripe and the skins have slightly darkened. The quantity is enough for a 20x10x5 pan. alfredsanpedro -
