Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgKaabli chana
  2. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  3. 1Chopped onion
  4. 1Onion
  5. 1 tomato purée
  6. 1-2Bay leaves
  7. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  8. 1/2 tspBlack pepper
  9. 1 stickCinnamon stick
  10. 1/2 tspCaraway seeds
  11. 1-2Cloves
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. 1-2Red chillies
  14. to tasteRed chilli powder
  15. to tasteHaldi powder
  16. to tasteDhaniya powder
  17. 1 cupMaida
  18. as neededCurd
  19. 1 pinchAsfoetida
  20. as neededCoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Soak chana for 5-6 hours

    Boil it in pressure cooker add 1/4 tablespoon salt and haldi powder give 4 whistles

    Make Garam masala powder (cumin seeds, cinnamon, caradamon, cloves, black pepper, caraway seeds) in mixer grinder

    Heat oil in pressure cooker add oil

  5. 5

    Add bay leaves, red chillies,asfoetida then add chopped onions as it turns golden brown add ginger garlic paste add onion tomato purée

    Add Garam masala, haldi powder, red chilli powder and salt

    Stir it till it leaves the oil now add boiled chana and water (water in which chana is boiled) can add more water if needed

    Cover the lid give 3 whistles

  9. 9

    Take maida add curd and salt and knead it with water make smooth dough leave it for 45 minutes

    Make small balls flatten it with roller pin and deep fry it till golden brown

    Serve chole bhature garnish it with coriander leaves and onions 😊
