Calzone

I didn't follow any recipe for these. I just threw them together with stuff I had on hand that night. I normally like to make my own crusts but didn't have time but the refrigerated ones tasted fine. You don't have to use the same toppings I did. Feel free to add whatever you like! This recipe makes 4 huge calzones. They turned out so big we had leftovers for several meals afterwards.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook your ground beef and sauté your veggies. While that is cooking, roll out one of the pizza crusts into a rectangle.
- 2
Add sauce and spread to about an inch- inch and half from the edge of the crust.
- 3
Add a layer of cheese followed by a layer of pepperoni. Then add some meat, mushrooms and chopped bell peppers. Top with another layer of pepperoni followed by more cheese and a little bit more sauce.
- 4
Fold the short sides inwards a few inches so that your toppings won't leak out when it cooks. Then fold the long sides together to the middle and pinch closed to seal.
- 5
Place the calzone seam side down on a baking sheet. Use a knife to cut a few slits in the top to let steam escape.
- 6
*this step is optional but I really liked it. Before baking, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.*
- 7
Bake according to the instructions on the pizza crust package (you may have to cook a little longer, you may not). When it's finished, take out of the oven and sprinkle some grated Parmesan on top.

20-Minute Calzone 20-Minute Calzone
When I started preparing breakfast one day, I realized all the sudden that we didn't have any cooked rice nor bread. I was wondering if I should just start cooking rice in a hurry, when I decided to make something with flour. But I didn't have any cake flour either, so I somehow started making a pizza-like dough. I kneaded some bread flour, but didn't let the dough proof, spread tomato ketchup on, put the filling in, and baked in a frying pan.The amounts of ingredients in this recipe are estimates, but it'll work out okay. Just add enough hot water to bring the dough together. For the filling, if you use any ingredients that take time to cook, parboil or heat through beforehand. It is recommended to use plenty of cheese. Be careful not to burn yourself when you eat, since the filling is very hot when calzone is just done! Recipe by *mocomoco* cookpad.japan -

What more does a person need in a day than one massive calzone. I translated the diet advice of the Dutch Food Centre into a single recipe. My advice? Don't eat this. The only thing this will bring you is the knowledge that a diverse diet throughout the day is absolutely lovely. Also, we are going to make a Thangzhong. Maxime Kok -

Pepperoni and Cheese Calzone Pepperoni and Cheese Calzone
On Friday, I made sourdough pizzas and had some leftover dough. So, I saw Kikey's recipe and thought... it's been so long since I made a Calzone! So the next day, with what I had left, I prepared this big empanada (as my husband likes to call it) and it was a hit. We ate 2... well-fed, but I think it serves about 3. You can also make it with traditional pizza dough. poramoralhambreTranslated from Cookpad Mexico
