Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°
- 2
Grease/spray a loaf pan.
- 3
In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
- 4
In a small bowl mash bananas with fork or your preferred method.
- 5
Mix eggs and oil into bananas. *Note* I have gotten the best results subbing 1/4 cup of the oil with applesauce. So the recipe would use 1/4 oil & 1/4 applesauce if you would like to substitute.
- 6
Add banana mixture into flour mixture. Stir until combined - do not over mix.
- 7
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake for 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 8
Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes. Remove bread from pan and let it cool completely on wire rack. Enjoy : )

This has always been my favorite way to use ripe bananas. You can also freeze ripe bananas and use for this recipe at a later time. Yummy. 1953kenny -

First Attempt: Went well. I will probably add more vanilla and butter to the next batch.Second Attempt: Better. Added extra vanilla and butter. Decided to try brown sugar and liked the results.Third Attempt: Reduced oil and added sour cream for moisture. Great results! Cooked these for 30 minutes in muffin pans. Jarrod Milstead -
