Ingredients

2 serves
  1. 400 gall purpose flour
  2. 200 gsugar
  3. 200 gbutter
  4. 2 tbspvanilla essence
  5. 1 cupmilk or water (warm)
  6. 2 tspbaking powder

    Sift the flour, baking powder in a large mixing bowl

    Beat the butter using a mixer or use a spoon. Cream the sugar in using a mixer until the butter turn colour to light white.

    Cream until the mixture becomes like a damp sand(here add in eggs)

    Add vanilla and milk, and beat on medium using a wooden spoon. Do not over beat the butter.

    Fold in the flour little at a time while mixing until all the flour is done.

    Add in milk or water if you want and continue mixing in an anti clockwise way until the butter becomes thicker than that of pancake and lighter than that of common dough.

    To create an oven, heat the sand for 15 minutes until hot.

    Then place the cake butter on top of the cooking sand.

    Cover then cover the sand and allow the cake to cook for 15 minutes after which you can close the door of the jiko.

    Cook the cake for further 30 minutes after which take some charcoal and put on top of the sufuria covering.

    This should continue for like 15 minutes. Until the top is done.

    After which insert in a skewer or a toothpick at the center. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready.

    Place it on a plate to cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
