I have always been afraid of making donuts. But today I decided to conquer my fears 😀. And even i can’t believe it came out better than store bought! 💃🏼💃🏼

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoonyeast
  2. 3 1/4 cupall purpose flour
  3. 1 cupbuttermilk
  4. 1/2 cupsugar
  5. 2large eggs
  6. 4 tablespoonmelted butter
  7. Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Slightly warm up the milk using a pot or microwave. (Just warm and not hot)

    Pour the warm milk in a bowl and add the sugar and yeast, then stir, cover and keep in a warm place

    After 30minutes the yeast most have began to swell and look foamy

  4. 4

    Pour into a stand mixer and add eggs and butter then whisk on low speed

  5. 5

    Slowly add the flour while whisking with a dough hook

  6. 6

    Then mold and set on a floured table top

  7. 7

    Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 1/2 inches

    Then cut using a floured donut cutter. Flour a tray and place cut donuts gently on the try

  9. 9

    Coverup tray properly using a cling film so no air gets in until dough doubles in size

  10. 10

    Then deep fry on very low heat turning from side to side until just golden brown

  11. 11

    Place on a sieve to drain out oil
