Ingredients

4 -6 servings
  1. 1 cupmoong Dal
  2. 1/3 cuplal malika Dal
  3. 2 tsppure ghee
  4. 1/4 tspblack mustard seeds
  5. 1/4cuminseeds
  6. 1bay leaf
  7. 1chopped onion
  8. 2chopped tomatoes
  9. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  10. to tastesalt
  11. 4curry leaves
  12. 1/3 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1/3 tspturmeric powder
  14. 1/4 tspcoriander powder
  15. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  16. 1/4 tspkasuri methi
  17. as neededwater

Cooking Instructions

    Wash & rinse the both pulses with fresh water.

    Heat pure ghee in cooker,add bay leaf & cumin seeds.cook till aroma smells. Now add onions & ginger garlic paste, cook till they become golden & add salt,red chilli powder & turmeric powder, saute for few seconds & add tomatoes.Cook on low flame till they become mashy.

    Now add both pulses with 1 glass of water. Cover with lid & after two whistle,switch off the flame & let it cool down.Open the lid & add all the rest of the ingredients. Add 1/2 cup of water & cook on low flame for 2 minutes.Serve hot with rice.
