It's a simple, quick, flavourful and delicious curry prepared with cooking the potato cubes in Indian spices. It goes well with Rice, pulao, chappathi and pooris.
I prepared this potato Curry for yesterday's breakfast with pooris.

Ingredients

30 minutes
  1. 250 gmPotatoes
  2. 1Big Onion chopped
  3. 1Big Tomato Chopped
  4. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  5. 1 tbspRed Chilli Powder
  6. 2 tbspCoriander powder
  7. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  8. 1 tspGaram masala
  9. 1 tspCumin seeds
  10. To tasteSalt
  11. 1 tbspSesame oil
  12. As neededWater
  13. 2 tspCurry leaves
  14. 2 tspcoriander leaves
  15. To Grind
  16. 2 pieceCoconut
  17. 1 tspFennel seeds

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes

    Wash and cut the potatoes as Cubes.

  2. 2

    Grind the coconut and fennel seeds to a fine paste.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a Pressure cooker, add in the Cumin seeds, Curry leaves, onions and ginger garlic paste and saute for 1minute.

    Then add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Saute well.

  5. 5

    Further add in the spice powders (red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder). Mix well. cook till the Tomatoes are mushy

  6. 6

    Now add potatoes and saute well.

    Then add the grounded masala, enough water for the Curry.

  8. 8

    Check for salt and spice. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.

    After 3 whistles, open the pressure cooker and sprinkle some more chopped coriander leaves.

  10. 10

    Potato Curry is ready to serve.
