Kharvas or Junnu (no colostrum)

#tech1
This delicious steamed dessert is known as 'Kharvas' in Maharashtra, 'Junnu' in Andhrapradesh, 'ginnu' in Kannada & 'posu' in Konkani.
Kharvas or Junnu is a milk pudding which is generally made of colostrum (first day thick milk of cows or Buffalos), but in my recipe I refrain from using colostrum. This a quick version of kharvas & tastes yummy .It takes very little time to get prepared.

Commonly prepared in Northern India, especially on the festival of Eid, Phirni is a creamy dessert made with ground rice and milk. Traditionally served in shikoras i.e. earthen clay pots, Phirni is flavoured with saffron and/or cardamom and is garnished with dried fruits. Karan Tripathi (Food Fanatic) -
Creamy sweetened Aamras Creamy sweetened Aamras
#CookClickNo Indian summer is complete without a bowl of heavenly amras. Amras is simply mango pulp/puree. Amras itself has a great and exotic taste , but adding saffrons, cardamoms, chopped nuts, etc will enhance it's taste. Normally amras is thick in consistency and water or milk is added to adjust the consistency according to one's taste. In this recipe, I have added condensed milk for a tasty and creamy twist. Condensed milk gives aamras a creamier, smoother and sweeter taste and texture. Drishya Subash [Intimate Stranger] -

Rich and Creamy Hot Chocolate Rich and Creamy Hot Chocolate
Is there really anything better to warm up with after an afternoon of playing in fresh snowfall on a cold winter's day? This hot chocolate really is rich, creamy, and thick, and if you feel that it's too rich for your tastes you can substitute additional water in place of some of the milk, or even just add additional milk or water, to cut the richness. Cheesecake No bake pie Cheesecake No bake pie
This is a staple for every holiday in my family. It has been my whole life. Then again, is there ever really a BAD time for cherry cheese pie? This one turned out exceptionally well because I had to get creative with the crust. This is the piece I ate while I wrote the recipe. It was in the fridge firming up. My husband opens the fridge and the whole pie fell to the terra cotta tiles in my kitchen. You know, it didn’t come out of the dish. It stayed in place! Thankfully it landed on its bottom with only a flesh wound on one side of it 😂 I took a picture and am adding it to the end of the recipe. #mycookbook SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
California Farm Agave or Sugar Condensed Milk California Farm Agave or Sugar Condensed Milk
This is a no sugar agave recipe to make fresh condensed milk with milk powder. Agave syrup is one and a half times sweeter than sugar, so I use two teaspoons of agave instead of a tablespoon of cane sugar ( 1 tablespoon is 3 teaspoons ).I have also listed a Turkish cookpad recipe to make your own condensed milk from fresh milk. No hard boil. Tastes better than canned. We use condensed milk to make ice cream and frozen yoghurt desserts, and chocolate truffels. Hobby Horseman -
