Ingredients

45 mins.
2 servings
  1. 1medium bunch of spinach
  2. 1/4 cup of milk
  3. 1 tsppepper powder
  4. 1 tbspfresh cream
  5. 1/2 inch ginger
  6. 1/2 Small onion
  7. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 1/2 tsp butter
  10. 1 tspmaida
  11. 1/2 tsp sugar
  12. 1bay leaf
  13. 2-3mint leaves
  14. as requiredFresh cream for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly blanch the spinach along with the onion (cut into cubes) for 2 mins in a boiling water. Remove them quickly & transfer the spinach leaves into cold water.

    Then remove them. Transfer all of them into a grinding jar, add mint leaves & grind them into a smooth paste.

    Now take a pan, add butter. Then add a bay leaf. Mix it & add maida to it. Saute it for about few seconds on a low flame. When it turns golden in colour, add milk to it. Give everything a good mix.

    Then add spinach paste to it. Mix it well. Now add salt, sugar, pepper powder, garlic powder to it. Give everything a good mix.

    Then finally add fresh cream to it. Mix everything well. Cook it for 2 mins more. Then serve hot. Garnish it with some fresh cream, sprinkle some more pepper powder over it and a piece of mint leaf.. Your cream of spinach soup is now ready to serve.
