Cake Pops are a really popular cut e way to serve cake. Most cake pop recipes use boxed cake mix, mixing the baked cake crumbled with ready made frosting to make a sticky ball. They are all beautiful but very sweet and I am not a fan of premade frosting. Nortic Ware puts out a cake pop pan and uses a scratch recipe which makes a amazing brownie cake like pop. They need no crumbling or adding of frosting they are delicious pure balls of moist cake. I covered them with good quality white chicolate then decorated them. They are not to sweet, you bite into a moist chocolate fudgy cake with a delicious pure white chocolate coating!

We did these in several varieties. The cake we used was red velvet, chocolate, and yellow cake. They are dipped in white almond bark dyed in various colors. Some we crushed candy cane and mixed in the almond bark. Decorated with colored white chocolate ganache. 1 box of cake mix makes an average of 24 golf ball sized pops.

The directions are pretty interesting, and is something that's definitely not common in Japan.It might be difficult to imagine what these taste like...the middle has cake and cream cheese for a really moist, sticky, delicious taste.I gave a lot of these to my 82-year old grandfather for Valentines Day, and I was surprised to find he ate them all, lol. This is a cake pop version of the ghost trifles.You could use store bought baumkuchen.You could use corn dog sticks.To melt the white chocolate, put in cups and warm over hot water.
