Ingredients

  1. 100 gmmoong dal
  2. 3green chillis finely chopped
  3. 1 pinchhaldi
  4. as per taste Salt
  5. 1 tspjeera or cumin seeds
  6. As neededWater
  7. 2 inchpiece ginger peeled and grated
  8. 1 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash 100 gm moong dal and add water twice the quantity of dal. Keep it aside.

    In a kadai add 1 tbsp oil, Add 1tsp jeera. When jeera splutters. Add 3 chillis finely chopped and 2 inch piece ginger peeled and grated. Fry till they are little crisp.

    Add moong dal along with the water, salt and a pinch haldi powder. Mix well. Cover and cook till moong dal is tender. You can use some more water if needed. Tha dal should be separate and not mushy.
