Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 CupTur dal
  2. 2 TbspOil
  3. 2 Tspcumin seeds
  4. 2 TspSesame seeds
  5. 1 TspMustard seeds
  6. 1 pinchAsafoetida
  7. 5-6Curry leaves
  8. 2 TbspRed chilli powder
  9. 1 TspSugar
  10. To tasteSalt
  11. As required water
  12. as needed Coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Soak Tur dal for 5 hours.

  2. 2

    Now remove excess water and clean the Tur dal. Check dal if you want more soft then you can cook for 5 minutes.

    In a pan heat oil. Now add mustard seeds,Cumin sesame seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves. Let's sputter it.

    Now in this add Cooked Tur dal.

    Now add red chilli powder,sugar,salt and mix well. Do not over mix.

  6. 6

    Now garnish with coriander leaves. Tur dal Usal is ready. You can serve with Chapati or Roti.
