Healthy Tofu Doria with Tofu Sauce

I had a craving for doria. But I was also on a diet…
So, I made this quick dish using a simple tofu sauce.
Add any filling of your choice, like corn or sautéed mushrooms.
Take care not to heat the tofu too much when draining, since it should contain at least a small amount of water.
This dish also tastes amazing with firm tofu. I recommend mashing the firm tofu roughly to keep its nice texture. Recipe by mocomanma

Thinly slice the onion, green pepper, and Wiener sausages.
- 2
Break the tofu into bite-sized pieces with your hands. Put them into a heatproof container and microwave for 3 minutes. Transfer into a sieve and drain lightly.

Put the drained tofu and the ● seasoning ingredients into a bowl. Mix as you mash the tofu with a fork.
- 4
Thinly grease a gratin dish with butter. Layer the ingredients in this order: rice, tofu sauce, other fillings (onion, green pepper, Wiener sausages), and cheese.
- 5
Bake in the oven for 13 minutes until the cheese browns. Voilà.

There's so much sauce inside and it tastes amazing.

I wanted to make a refined tasting Chinese style dish that highlighted the delicate texture of tofu. They say that it's easier to get rid of the excess moisture in tofu if you boil it for a while, but if you can't be bothered you can skip this step.Once you put the tofu in the pot, don't use utensils to stir fry - shake the wok to stir the ingredients around instead. If you can manage to keep the shape of the tofu intact when you put this on a serving plate, it will look classier. Delicious Tofu with Umeboshi Mayo Sauce Delicious Tofu with Umeboshi Mayo Sauce
Drain excess water from the tofu first, cut into small pieces, then mix with the dressing. It prevents the dish from being watery. It also helps to improve the dish's appearance, and makes the dish absorb the flavor better.Use your preferred amount of umeboshi. You can just top the mixed seasoning on the chilled tofu, instead of mixing it all together. You can make many variations by using nori-seaweed tsukudani (simmered in soy sauce), kimchi, spicy salted cod roe, takana pickles, shibazuke (pickled vegetables in salt and shiso leaves), nametake mushrooms, tuna and soy sauce, etc... as a dressing. It's also delicious to sprinkle garnishes, such as sesame seeds. Recipe by Hironozomiyuuma cookpad.japan -
