  13. 1 Tomato chopped

  18. 1 tbspSambhar powder
  19. 1 tbspTamarind paste
  20. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  21. 1 tbspOil
  22. 1 tbspMustard seeds
  23. as requiredReadymade podi masala

Cooking Instructions

    For making idli
    Heat tadka pan add oil put rai curry leaves dal cashew nuts and saute in low flame till brown.

    Take bowl add sooji dahi water and mix well to semi thick constiency add tempering and mix well and keep aside for 10 min to set

    After 10 min add little water and mix well

  4. 4

    Take idli cooker grease mould with oil and pour 1 ladle batter.
    Put it in and cooker and cook for 10 min in medium check in between with knife if it comes out clearly then it is done.

    Close the flame and let it set and be cool don't open the cooker now

    Demould the idli

    For making sambhar
    Wash and soak dal for 1 hr
    Take

    In a pressure cooker add toor dal, turmericand 1½ cup water.
    pressure cook for 5 whistles or until the dal is cooked well.
    once the pressure releases, using a whisk mash the dal smooth.

    Take kadhai heat oil add rai curry leaves dry red chilli.
    Add onion saute till it is cooked add tomato and cook again

    Add all masala tamarind paste 1 cup water and boil till bubbles comes

    Add mashed dal and cook till boil comes.

    Sambhar is ready

    Serve hot with idli and podi
