Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupyellow moong dal
  2. 1 cuplaspsi
  3. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  4. 1/2 teaspoonpepper powder
  5. 1 pinchhing
  6. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  7. handfulCurry leaves
  8. to tastesalt
  9. 1/2 cupcarrot chopped (optional)
  10. 2 teaspoonsghee
  11. 3 cupswater

Cooking Instructions

    First wash and clean the moong dal then add it with lapsi into a pressure cooker with three glasses of water to this add takda with one teaspoon ghee but no salt and ghee. Pressure cook for three whistles. Once the pressure cools take it out and add salt and ghee and serve with Sambhar or vathakulambu or some sour pickle.
