Soak moong Dal for ½ an hour, then add 3 cups of water in Dal and add tomatoes, mix with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Stir to combine.

Boil for 5 minutes in full flame and develop pressure cover with lid, if needed lower the flame.

For tampering heat oil then add cumin seeds till they sizzle and add mustard seeds till they pop up, and then add hing, saute for few seconds and add dry red chillies and garlic cloves till they turn light brown and finally add fresh curry leaves and saute well.

Now transfer boiled dal that settles down naturally after boiling, if needed add ½ Cup more water and add lemon juice, mix well and garnish with coriander and serve hot with steam rice or roti.
