I've made no secret of the fact that I can't bake. Which is unfortunate, because freshly baked cinnamon buns, with or without cream cheese frosting, are among my very, very favourite foods. So I made this dessert to compensate, at least a little. It's sweet, it's buttery, it's cinnamony, it's pretty darned good. The observant may notice that the recipe calls for 9 slices of bread, but the picture only shows 6 toasts. That's because my daughter swiped 3 while I was setting up the photo. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

This is the best tasting recipe I know! I made it for my mother on mother's day and she loved it! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does(:

I find it overwhelming if both sides are buttered so I put butter, sugar, and cinnamon on only one side of the bread. The measurement of the butter, sugar, and cinnamon would depend on your preference. :) I don't have a toaster so I use pan instead.

I love mentaiko French bread. So, I wanted to try to make a regular sliced bread version.Since the mentaiko already has flavor, you don't need to use any salt or spices.
