Teriyaki Salmon

Teriyaki (照り焼き) is a Japanese cooking style that combines two words: teri meaning luster, and yaki meaning to grill or broil. This Japanese authentic savory-sweet sauce combines soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar, and this recipe adds some ginger to add balance with the savory teriyaki sauce :-)

- 4
NOTE: Gently press it and remove the excess.
- 5
Oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 6
Place the salmon skin-side down, cook until golden (2-3mins)
- 7
Flip the salmon and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
- 8
NOTE: If your fillet is thick, cook all sides of the salmon.
- 9
Add the sauce and bring to a simmer, then lower the heat.
- 10
Flip the fillet at times to coat evenly with the sauce.
- 11
Serve.
コツ・ポイント
A thin coating of flour helps the sauce stick to the salmon and get a nice thick glaze for the salmon.
