Simple Salad

A simple last minute salad.
Tips
1. Wash lettuce before cutting it. It is much easier in removing sand and other dirt. Washing again after cutting (with salted water) kills bacteria from contaminated chopping boards, knives, hands and the lettuce itself. Remember to rinse well with plain water in order to wash the saltiness.
2. Vegetable (some) skins have high nutritional value. Retain them where possible.
Cooking Instructions

Separate lettuce leaves from head. Wash lettuce under running water. This is to remove sand and other dirt that may be on the leaves.

Cut into very thin shreds. Wash with salted water and rinse several times with plain water.

Cut onions, wash and set aside. Wash cucumber and cut into cubes. Do not peel the skin. Set aside.

Wash and grate carrots. Do not scrape the skin. Set aside.

Boil, peel and slice egg.
- 6
Assemble all ingredients on a tray or plate.
- 7
Design as desired.
- 8
Drizzle salad cream on top.
- 9
Serve with dish of choice or consume as it is.
