Ingredients

4 -5 servings
  1. 1 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour (you can mix half all purpose and half atta if you like)
  2. 2 tablespoonoil (plus more for rolling and cooking)
  3. 1 teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/2 cupwarm water or milk
  5. 1/4 cupsugar (extra for filling, optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, add flour, salt and oil and mix well. Slowly add in the warm water or milk and knead until you have a lovely soft dough.

  2. 2

To get this square shape, cut a piece of dough and roll it out into a circle like chapatis

  3. 3

Apply oil, sprinkle some flour and sugar.

  4. 4

Take one side and fold inwards to the centre.

  5. 5

Fold again from the opposite side, then again from the two ends, layering the folds on top of each other. Like how you would fold an envelope.

  6. 6

You will already have a square shape. Let it rest while covered for a few minute

  7. 7

Roll your chapati and cook it on medium heat

  8. 8

Remove and place them on a plate covered with kitchen towel or in a hotpot.

  9. 9

    Serve warm. ENJOY 🌹
