Soft Shells as Tortillas or Pita Bread!
I had a craving for taco wraps.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine all of the ingredients and knead together. At first, the dough will be sticky, but as you knead, it will become a dough-like consistency.
- 2
Once the dough becomes smooth and shiny, wrap in plastic wrap and let sit for about 30 minutes. If you substitute tomato juice for water, the wraps will turn out orange!
- 3
Sprinkle the work surface with flour, then thinly roll the dough. Since the dough has bread flour in it, they will shrink.
- 4
Bake directly on a frying pan. The dough will puff up. Grill both sides, then they're ready to serve. No need to oil the frying pan!
- 5
While it depends on the thickness of the dough, each piece should take about 3 minutes to bake. Pita bread takes a little longer. Be careful not to make the dough too thick.
- 6
Stuff them Mexican style with chili con carne, or vegetables, and bon appetit!
- 7
I used this recipe to make wraps and pita sandwiches.
- 8
Besides tomato juice in the dough, for fun you can also try kneading ichimi spice or puréed spinach.

Perfect Pita Bread Perfect Pita Bread
This is a small batch recipe for 3 medium pita breads. The secret to getting them to puff up into pockets is a super hot oven (at least 260°C/500°F). I recommend sticking to white flour for this because it seems whole wheat flours don't do a good job of rising well (which means no pocket!).Great for falafel, or any kind of sandwich fillings you like. Puffy and Chewy Pita Bread with All-Purpose Flour Puffy and Chewy Pita Bread with All-Purpose Flour
I was amazed at the pita bread I ate in a Turkish store, so I came up with this recipe for a puffy pita using the same dough as naan. The tips for puffy pita are to allow the surface to dry a bit after rolling, bake them with the bottom moist side up, and to bake at a high temperature for a short amount of time.By adding baking powder, I was able to get the dough to puff up nicely. Cooking is an art and a joy for me. I love cooking delicious meals for my family and presenting the food in a special way, even if we don't have guests. I try to make all kinds of sandwiches and fast food at home, and even some desserts, in a way that's healthier and still tasty, in addition to traditional dishes to which I sometimes add my own special touches. 😊 Hiam SalehTranslated from Cookpad Lebanon -
Easy Pita Bread in a Food Processer Easy Pita Bread in a Food Processer
I was making "eterno"'s bagels and was really impressed by the idea of using a processor to make them. I wondered if it was possible to make pita bread the same way, and after much trial and error I finally arrived at this recipe. In Step 4, make sure the seams are facing up when rolling the dough out with a rolling pin. Stretch it out gently. If the dough doesn't rise enough, open it up with a knife. When using an electric oven, bake at 300℃ for best results. Recipe by Akkorin mama cookpad.japan -
