Peas and mashed matoke

Ingredients

2 people
  1. 2 cupsgreen peas
  2. 2carrots
  3. 1red onion
  4. 1 Tspcooking oil
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Bunchesgreen bananas
  7. Potatoes
  8. Margarine
  9. Some tomatoes(2)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Bring your water to boil. Add a pinch of sugar and salt (to maintain the green color). Add your peas and boil for like 5 min.

    In a pan, saute your onions. Add carrots and steam them for 1 min. Add your peas, salt and mix. Cook for 2-3 min. Remove from heat. Serve.

    For the matoke.
    Peel the bananas and potatoes and boil them with salt. (I prefer them overcooked).

    When ready, drain the remaining water. Mash them until they are smooth, add margarine. Serve.
