Sliced Beef and Lettuce Stir-Fry

Stir-frying lettuce removes most of the water-content, so you can get a good dose of greens in this simply-seasoned dish.

Don't cook for too long after adding the lettuce, otherwise it will lose its nice, crunchy texture (I say this, but I didn't follow my own advice when I left it in the pan to take pictures and it got too soft). Recipe by Yotsubanomitsuba

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 250 gramsThinly sliced beef
  2. 1/2 headIceberg lettuce
  3. 1 tbspeach ※Sugar, sesame oil
  4. 2generous tablespoons ※Soy sauce
  5. 2 tbsp※Sake
  6. 1 tsp※Ra-yu

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and chop lettuce. Cut beef into bite-size pieces. Combine ※ marked ingredients.

  2. 2

    Heat vegetable oil (not listed in ingredients) in pan and brown beef. Then add the combined ※ marked ingredients to pan.

    Add lettuce, toss to combine, and it's ready to serve.
