Fried Chicken Tender with Umeboshi for Bento Fried Chicken Tender with Umeboshi for Bento
This is our family's regular dish.-If the umeboshi is popping out, the chicken will spit when it's being fried. To prevent this, make sure to press it down and dredge well.-The chicken won't cook thoroughly if the oil is too hot. So, make sure it's just the right temperature. Stir-Fried Chicken Breast With Ume-Shiso Sauce Stir-Fried Chicken Breast With Ume-Shiso Sauce
I love the combination of chicken, umeboshi and shiso leaves, so I thought up an easy recipe that uses all three.I use pretty sour umeboshi, so if you have sweet umeboshi use less mirin. In Step 2, if you want to make it more sour, add more umeboshi, and if you want it sweeter add more mirin. If you add more shiso leaves than called for in the recipe it will become even more aromatic, so I recommend it. I topped grilled chicken skewers with my favorite scallion, salt, and sansho pepper sauce. I wanted some grilled chicken as a snack to go with beer. Adding lemon to the scallion, salt, and sansho sauce made it even more refreshing. Refreshing Umeboshi-Flavored Teriyaki Chicken & Avocado Refreshing Umeboshi-Flavored Teriyaki Chicken & Avocado
I made this sauce for swordfish and it turned out really delicious, so I decided to try it with chicken. It was so tasty that I also added my favorite avocado.※ I used an umeboshi that was lightly salted and sweet. Be careful about the salt content if you use a heavily salted umeboshi. The umeboshi fruit will stick to the frying pan, but since it adds an accented flavor, add it to the dish. It's quite sour but will make you feel good!Adjust the amount of sugar to the sweetness of the ume plum jam.Boil the sauce down to your preference. It's prone to scorching, so be careful.Apricot jam will also give this dish a nice flavour. Recipe by Blue poppy cookpad.japan -
Chicken Breast, Ume and Cucumber Stir Fry Chicken Breast, Ume and Cucumber Stir Fry
I found this dish on the menu of a restaurant I happened to visit one day. I imagined what the taste was like from the name and photo on the menu, and I created my own version The result was pretty good I want to try the genuine version at the restaurant next time. The chicken will be tough if you overcook it, so stir-fry the cucumber and chicken separately for the best result. Adjust the amount of umeboshi as you like. If you use the salty umeboshi, use 2 medium ones or 1 large one. Recipe by wappa cookpad.japan -
