Pre - heat the oven at 180° c

Grease with butter and dust with flour the cake pans

Weigh all the ingredients

Carefully sieve the dry ingredients; Flour, Cocoa Powder,Baking Soda,Salt

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl

In a separate bowl,mix the vegetable oil,vinegar, vanilla essence and the butter milk

Add the mixed dry ingredients into the wet ingredients mixture

Whisk the mixture,maintaining the direction of whisking
- 9
Gradually add in the red food coloring
- 10
Mix until the batter is evenly mixed and coloured

Pour the batter into the prepared baking tins

Bake for 30minutes

Check using a skewer if the cake is well done.The skewer should come out dry
