Ingredients

6-7 servings
  1. 175 gramsDates deseed
  2. 10Cashews
  3. 10 Almonds
  4. 3 & 1/2 cupsMilk
  5. 2 tbsp.Clarified Butter
  6. 4Green Cardamom dehusked and powdered
  7. 1 tbspChironji / Charoli seeds
  8. 1-2 tbspSugar Optional
  9. as neededChopped Almonds,Pista and Dates for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Deseed Dates, roughly chopped and soak in 1/2 cup milk for 15-20 minutes.

    Soak almonds and cashews in warm water,close and keep it aside for 20 minutes.Peel almond skin and set aside.

    After 20 minutes,blend dates with little milk to a smooth paste.

    Blend Cashews and Almonds with little milk to a smooth paste,set aside.

  5. 5

    In a deep pan / kadai,add 2 Tbsp Clarified Butter/ghee.Add blended date paste and saute for 3-4 minutes

    Saute dates paste, add boiled and cooled milk.Stir well

  7. 7

    Add cashew and almond paste,stir well and cook on low flame.

  8. 8

    Bring it boil.Turn off the heat, add Cardamom/ milk masala powder and Chironji seeds.

    Stir well everything.Taste dessert,if you need more sweet,add 1-2Tbsp of sugar (optional).Mix well everything.

    Garnish with some chopped dates and nuts and serve it hot or warm.
