Baking Without Any Special Tools
Visited my mum and people asked for cake... The lack of important tools such as a scale or measuring cups did not deter me...
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Equipment I used....please use the same cup throughout
- 2
Get all your ingredients ready...eggs should be at room temperature.. Preheat oven if using one...set up your mawe tatu technique
- 3
Break your eggs. Mix with sugar and the oil....mix till all the sugar dissolves.. It will take about 10 minutes.... A whisk works best...mwiko works well too
- 4
Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and sift them...add them to the wet ingredients in bits, folding them in gently till well combined
- 5
Add the water if you feel the mixture is too heavy....I used large eggs therefore saw no need to add it
- 6
Transfer it to your greased baking tin....tap to remove any trapped air bubble
- 7
If using an oven bake for 180 for about 35-40 min....if using a charcoal oven or mawe tatu....check after 30 min...the nice aroma from the cake will alert you..Insert a knife or skewer, if it comes out clean it is ready
- 8
Once ready, let it cool before removing it from the pan
- 9
Enjoy with a cup of tea as you watch the cows graze...
- 10
Yum!Yum!

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
This dessert is a delicious cross between a cake and a cookie; it's not as crumbly as a cookie but not as soft as a cake. The size of the pan depends on your personal preference and so does the baking time. Just so you can compare: mine was baked in a 27 cm round cake pan for an hour. Yum! red.queen -

Basic Gateau au Chocolat without Heavy Cream Basic Gateau au Chocolat without Heavy Cream
Since my family loves gateau au chocolat, I researched various recipes that don't require heavy cream and that can be made easily with ingredients already on hand, and came up with this recipe!Stir the meringue so that the air bubbles do not pop. Don't worry so much. The cake will be nice and fluffy if you have it the day it's baked. If you let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 day, it will taste just like the rich gateau au chocolat from a cake shop. Recipe by Rosemary* cookpad.japan -
Scrambled Eggs and Brains Scrambled Eggs and Brains
Growing up, my mom made this, just using calf brains. Thanks to mad cow disease, beef products such as this, are no longer available in the USA. But pork brains are. So I made this using pork brains. They have a slightly stronger flavor, but not too bad. You can scale this up by doubling or whatever for the amount of servings you require. This is a largish single serving, so if you have others things to go along with this, this could be 2 servings. Fo Fa -

Peppermint Chiffon Cake with a Chocolate Ganache Glaze Peppermint Chiffon Cake with a Chocolate Ganache Glaze
This is a basic deliciously light hiffon cake, with Christmas Colors and a peppermint flavor. Its an easy cake to make but it's important not to overcook it. It should be cooked just until done for a moist, delicate cake. Overcooking it will dry it's moist tender texture. fenway -
